Are
you tired of leaving the office late?
We both know how demanding a position of
responsibility can be. If the job doesn’t get done by someone else, you’re it!
You have to do it! The job falls in your lap. This makes for some very long
days and late nights just trying to maintain let alone get ahead. When this
happens so often it’s bound to have an effect on your outlook. How can you be
your best under those conditions? I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to
be this way.
Are you working harder than you have to?
Like so many other people, you probably go through
your day on auto-pilot. It’s like the idea that your car has made the trip to
the office so many times it could probably get there by itself! There’s so
little time to find easier ways of doing what you’re doing. And because of
this, you’re not aware of what’s available to you. The solution is simpler than
you think.
Do
you feel overwhelmed?
You’re a human being. And like anybody else, you’re
bound to feel overwhelmed with everything that gets thrown at you. I’m sure you
can handle a lot but doesn’t it seem that you’re always called on to handle
just a little bit more? But you can only realistically do so much. After all,
what are you a machine? Hmm…. A machine. You must have seen pictures of the old
– time telephone switchboards. You know, the ones where the lady in the
turn-of-the-century clothing – I’m talk’n 20th century here – is
plugging wires into holes on a board to connect calls. Now imagine if it was
done that way today. Talk about being overwhelmed! The phone company learned a
long time ago that if they were to grow they would need a little help; a
different kind of help.

Business
is good but I can’t keep up!
Your IPod is a machine that’s designed to be a
portable and convenient way to play music and videos. The big machines at the
Hershey Chocolate factory were designed to crank out millions of chocolate bars
a day. Those machines only do what they were designed to do and nothing else.
There is one machine, though, that can do just about anything. And here’s the
best part. You probably already have one! YOUR COMPUTER!
Here’s
the Best Part
As I said a minute ago chances are you already
own one of the most versatile machines that have ever been created. You’re
probably staring at it right now! What makes your computer able to do so many
different things is SOFTWARE. Your computer came with software that can play
games and other software that lets you type a letter or send an email. You may
have even gone to the store and bought other software that lets you do this or
that. But all of these programs have one thing in common. They weren’t written
for you! The people that wrote those programs don’t know you and they
don’t know your business. Chances are you do things differently than your
competitors. After all, that’s what sets you apart from your competitors; the
reason your customers buy from you instead of them. Why would you use the same
software they do?
Are
you making the same mistakes so many others make?
Let me tell you about a customer named Dan. Dan, like so many
people that I’ve run in to thought that just because they’re doing some tasks
on a

computer they're saving time and doing things efficiently. He had one
program that does one particular thing so he entered his information into it.
Then he had another program that does something else and he entered the
information into it. Then he had a third program that does something entirely
different and so he entered the same information into it. He didn’t realize
that he was really creating more work for himself not less! Even worse, he
increased the chance of making a mistake by handling the same information over
and over again. Are you doing things like Dan used to?
Your business is unique why shouldn’t your software be?
I’d like you to
take a moment and think about the most disgustingly hideous task you do in your
job. Ya know the thing that takes so much time and every minute you’re doing it
seems like forever; the thing you try to put off but realize at some point that
you just have to roll up your sleeves and do. Yah, that one. Now think for a
moment about how great it would be if you had a button that you could push and
it would be done in seconds without any effort on your part (except for pushing
the button). I’m here to tell you YOU CAN HAVE THAT!
